God with us

Matthew Chapter 1 verse 22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Right from Genesis if we see God always wanted to be closer to man and have a fellowship with us. But, it was man, who walks away from God. Still God did not give up on us rather He came to this world to be with us. And this promise that He fulfilled is not just for few days or few years but always as He says in Matthew 28:20. We see this prophesy in Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. – This was a prophesy to King Ahaz as a sign to trust God and not to seek Assyria King’s help. But Ahaz dint. It’s difficult at times but when life makes us to question our faith let’s try not to be like Ahaz but in any situation be confident in saying as Paul says in Romans 8:31 If God is for us who can be Against us He was with us, He is with us and He will be with us always. Celebrate this Christmas
season for this greatest gift given to us
